Award Winning Facility Features nora® Rubber Flooring

LAWRENCE, MA – The Elementary Institute of Science located in San Diego, Calif., recently received a 2005 Impact on Learning Award. Announced in the August 2005 issue of School Planning & Management magazine, the award recognizes the learning center in the Specialized Learning Spaces category of the competition and references the center’s flooring material and design in a discussion of the structure’s design solution.

The flooring covers the center’s lobby, corridors, labs and stairways and was used to create original artwork in the floor that depicts sea turtles, bees in a honeycomb, the solar system and a circle of children.
