As part of our on-going commitment to protecting the environment and its natural resources, nora® Rubber Flooring joined The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2002. The USGBC is the United States' foremost coalition of leaders from across the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. They have developed the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System - a voluntary, consensus-based national standard for developing high-performance, sustainable buildings.

nora systems, Inc. has been one of the first manufacturers of elastic floor coverings which in 1996 passed a voluntary verification of the environmental management system pursuant to regulation (EEC) 1836/93 and is registered in the EMAS register, number D-153-00016 (as of 2002). The objective of this all-European regulation is to promote a process of continuous improvement of environmental protection by companies and to strengthen the industry's own responsibility to realize measures to protect the environment. An analysis of the Austrian Plastics Institute confirms the suitability for use in confined spaces of norament® 925, noraplan® stone and ecoplan® delta representing many other nora® floor coverings with the corresponding composition. In the last few years, more than 200 nursery schools, 400 hospitals and 400 schools have been installed with environmentally compatible nora® floor coverings. Even the Bremen UFT (environment, research and technology center), the former Federal Health Agency in Berlin, the Frankfurt environmental laboratory and the environment agency in Hamburg have been installed with nora® floor coverings. |

Regular quality inspection by:

All floorcoverings produced by nora systems are subjected to a strict, regular quality inspection by the renowned Institut Fresenius, Chemische und Biologische Laboratorien GmbH, within the scope of a comprehensive quality label contract. All our floorcoverings may thus bear the quality label “inspected quality “!
